...Probably not. Duct tape, although a wonderous item and truely a fine repair choice of many, is not the best solution in plumbing situations. In this particular case, the pipes did not leak, and everything was working fine. Don't touch it. Stay away. Leave it alone.,unless you have a bucket, tools,replacement pipe, and some spare time.
